Autumn Creeps….
The first hint of Autumn colour is beginning to tint the leaves and soon there will be a chill in the air. With this in mind I’ve been thinking about the vexed question of heating the studio at Norton Conyers. It’s a big space and the solution would seem to be a wood burner; I mention this to Giles the gardener and tucked away in the corner of one of the workshops is this beauty:
Giles tells me it used to heat the greenhouses in the walled garden so it would be nice to see it back in use, particularly with the new season of classes starting again in the next few weeks. More information on progress and the new courses shortly.
