Saying Goodbye
Many of David’s paintings are very personal and not easy to let go:
“My paintings are really visual diaries of places visited and loved; none less than Mull where Becky and I continue to spend many happy times. ‘Sound Of Mull’, is from our last visit in early November 2016 and the drawings for this work were made on the final day before boarding the ferry to the mainland. Here there are red deer, eagles, hooded crow and, always a thrill, otters, and the landscape never fails to inspire but a painting made of such personal experience can be hard to part with. I am fortunate however in having some long standing customers who have, over the years, become friends and I’m happy to say this painting will be going to two such people”.
