An original oil painting by David Stead, the painting measures 5′ x 5′ (153cm x 153cm). The painting was inspired by Wilderness Wood at Norton Conyers House near Ripon in North Yorkshire where David has his Yorkshire studio. The woods themselves are a ‘Pleasure Ground’ of unknown date but possibly 17th century with ornamental ponds and a small lake.
