David Says: I love Corvids – Rooks, Crows, Jackdaws, Magpies – all highly intelligent birds yet sadly they are amongst the most persecuted of our native species. This painting forms part of the River Ure Project and was painted on a breezy early Spring day on a slow, deep section of the river near to my studio, the Rooks seemed to be enjoying and playing in the wind.
