Coverdale is one of the less frequently visited areas of the Yorkshire Dales. It has a timeless, intimate feel to it and is dotted with largely unchanged little villages and hamlets such as West Scrafton, Horsehouse and Coverham. The dale is bisected by a single track road which winds over the moors between Buckden Pike and Great Whernside and finally down to Kettlewell in upper Wharfedale.
The painting is from the viewpoint of Penhill near Leyburn looking up the dale towards Little and Great Whernsides.
An original oil painting by David Stead, now available as a beautiful limited edition print on deep profile, archival quality canvas. The print is limited to an edition of only 150 and comes with a certificate of authentication
