Autumn Creeps In To The Summer Wood

I’m working on this study of the woods near Sleningford at the moment. It is quite a big piece at five feet square so that all changes, particularly to light tend to take some time. Also, because of its conceptual simplicity, I tend to make quite a lot of changes so the paint surface gets more and more complex and impasto. It still has some way to go.
